Carved slate panel showing Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal decorated in traditional Bhutanese style on one of the 108 Chortens at Dochu La, a high pass (3140m) on the road between Thimpu and Wangdue. The chortens were built in 2005 in atonement for the lives lost in the joint action with India in 2003 to drive Assamese militants from Bhutan. They act as a reminder that the problem still exits and that Bhutanese dissidents are involved. Dochu La, Bhutan. 13 November 2007.
