The Hotel is built from wood with bamboo matting and is decorated in traditional style with Buddhist symbols. Above the open door is the wheel and deer emblem representing the Buddha's first discourse in the deer park.Above the closed door is the mythical Garuda. The door frames are decorated with swastikas which also appear on the hotel sign, both left and right handed.   • Painting illustrating the ancient Tibetan Buddhist tale of the Four Friends or Harmonious Brothers on a wall. The four friends are an elephant, a monkey, a hare (sometimes a rabbit)  and a partridge (sometimes a peacock or grouse). The fable relates both to the status due to age and cooperation.  The four friends establish their ages and hence rank by recounting their earliest recollections of a banyan tree. By cooperating the four firends can reach fruit high in a fruit tree.
